to the opening of college’s new ’space’ at the craft centre tonight. i collected our spanish visitors from jim’s house in the albatross and dropped them at the craft centre at about a quarter to six. me and mazza were then entrusted with bar duties for the night, which basically involved keeping the champagne [well, cava actually - same thing only spanish] flowing like water. not as easy a task as it sounds as the assembled hordes were downing the stuff as fast as i could open the bottles and mazza could pour the plonk out. we must have gone through about four cases of cava in the space of a couple of hours and my poor wee paws were red-raw by the end of it, from wrestling wi all those corks and wires. but at least we got a free meal at the end of the night out of it - and a couple or three bottles ‘accidentally’ fell into our hands on the way out at the end of the night.
