OK i just rang staffordshire county court, to find out where the feck my driving licence had got to - since i sent it to them before chrimbo to get speeding points put on it. i was expecting yet another teethgrinding “journey into fuckwittism” as the licence has my old address on it still and, even tho’ i stuck a note on it wi my new address and wrote my new address on the back, i was expecting them to say they’d sent it to the old gaff. this happened before one time. under similar circumstances, the fuckwitts in the manchester county court sent my licence back to my old address - which had been demolished about two years previously. actually. come to think of it the address on my licence at the minute was demolished about 7 years ago! i really must try and keep these things up to date in future!
anyway, amazingly enough, it turned out that the licence was still there, coz there’s a four week backlog on and that they were intending to send it [along with a letter warning me it was a criminal offence not to keep my driving licence up to date!] out to my current address after all.
we shall have to wait and see whether this materialises or not!…
