woohoo! - i spent most of the afternoon today up to my elbows in pismo components, coz i managed to find a guy through ebay who had a load of apple laptop spares for sale. regular readers of this bilge [jeez! - i dream of getting even a 'one-time' reader - never mind a 'regular' one! ] will remember that my poor electronic buddy was killed in action a few weeks back, when some eejit spilt beer on him and shorted out the I/O board.
well, one secondhand I/O board later and we’re back in business. i’m not sure whether my delight is justified tho’ - on the one hand, having a fully working pismo again seems a bargain for the £65 that the spare part cost me - on the other hand, £65 was a very expensive bottle of beer!
