i’m in the middle of upgrading my server’s version of movable type at the minute [the software which powers this bilge]. after the customary tedious nightmare of spending most of the afternoon nursing dropping FTP connections, cutting and pasting old config info from a zillion files on the old version into the corresponding zillion files in the new version - [then trying to figure out what i've broken and why!], i think i’ve finally got the old bugger [or should i say 'new bugger'?] up and running again. i reckon there are still a few teething troubles to iron out, as i’m getting the odd error message here and there when rebuilding parts of the site, but at least the worst of it’s oot the way. current mood [as the livejournal folks say]: ready to chuck the fuckin comp through the window!
